O.J.

Our friendly Hertz spokesman is at it again. I am sure most all of you have heard about the new mess the former Buffalo tailback is in. We may have to name a trophy after him before he is done.
Here is his beauty:.

Justice of the Peace Joe Bonaventure ruled Simpson would stand trial on all 12 counts. Simpson replied "If I have any disappointment, it's that I wish a jury was here.""As always, I rely on the jury system."

I bet you do O.J., I bet you do. "If the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit." I bet he is wishing Mr Johnny Cochran was still here to acquit.

Marbury

Here is a quote that I believe NBA player Stephon Marbury may come to regret. This is a classic case of foot-in-the-mouthitis. He made the following statements after leaving the team Monday.

Marbury made his decision to return home to New York once he was informed on the team charter plane Monday afternoon that he would not be starting against the Suns.

"Isiah has to start me," Marbury fumed, according to the source. "I've got so much (stuff) on Isiah and he knows it. He thinks he can (get) me. But I'll (get) him first. You have no idea what I know." It is unclear if Marbury made the same threat directly to Isiah Thomas, whose first big move as team president was trading for Marbury.

Rep. Tom Tancredo

Ok, is it any wonder our government is such a mess? Read this comment from the brilliant GOP Rep. Tom Tancredo regarding Miami at an immigration conference in Palm Beach:

"Look at what has happened to Miami. It has become a Third World country. You just pick it up and take it and move it someplace. You would never know you're in the United States of America. You would certainly say you're in a Third World country," Tancredo said.

I have spent some time in Miami and found it quite nice. Rhetoric like this will not help solve any problems. Get a grip sir, and tackle problems with common sense not hurtful hot air.

Iran Again

Another gem from the Iranian President, this time discussing his peoples friendship with Israel.

"We love all nations. We are friends with the Jewish people. There are many Jews living in Iran with security. You must understand that in our constitution and our laws and the parliamentary elections for every 150,000 people we get one representative in the parliament. For the Jewish community one-fifth of this number they still get one independent representative in the parliament. Our proposal to the Palestinian plight is a humanitarian and a democratic proposal. What we say is that to solve this 60-year problem, we must allow the Palestinian people to decide about its future for itself". Video Link

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

This won't be the first time we visit the Iranian President. Here he is asked about homosexuals being executed in Iran.

"In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country. We don't have that like in your country. ... In Iran we do not have this phenomenon. I don't know who's told you that we have this". Link to video

Of course you don't, you have killed them all idiot!
